After two Christmas seasons without singing, the Carols Choir was back on December 15 to regale everyone during the Mignet Christmas Lunch. Just a couple of rehearsals and the international students were ready. Their voices cheered up the ladies at the entrance hall, the staff and the professors at the corridors and stairs ... and finally surprised everyone in the cantine !

Many other students joined and everyone enjoyed the festive touch to the Christmas Lunch !

The Carols Choir just gets bigger and better- for the third year running . Over 50 kids came along to the 9 rehearsals run by 10 volunteer parents ! On the day of the Christmas lunch,around 10 classes were surprised with a knock on the door and 15 carollers regaled them with Christmas songs. By the time we reached the cantine at noon, our group had grown considerably - in company and cheer ! A shout out to Melie(3e) for her fantastic solo performances ( without music too ) and getting everyone singing along and almost dancing . Thanks to all the singers , volunteer Mums and College Mignet staff - for setting up the sound , getting us priority passes and generally being so welcoming !

A great start to the holidays...!

Jingle bells and Christmas carols were heard again - not just at the Christmas lunch but also in the classes and corridors of Mignet!

Over 35 students  (Inter and non-Inter) , a team of 9 parents volunteers and 9 rehearsals made the Christmas carols Choir a success for the second year running.

A big thank you to the singers - students and parents alike !

L’année s’est finie en beauté au collège Mignet avec cette initiative de parents bénévoles Apelevia.

La tradition anglo-saxonne veut que l’on chante dans les jours qui précèdent Noël.

C’était une occasion d’apprendre quelques chansons et de faire vivre cette tradition que nous n’avons pas laissé passer.

6 semaines de répétitions,

une dizaine de parents qui se sont relayés pour assurer les répétitions  hebdomadaires et

une vingtaine d’élèves enthousiastes

ont suffi à mettre tout le monde dans une ambiance de « Christmas spirit » fort sympathique au moment du repas de Noël.

Qu’on se le dise… la chorale est déjà demandée pour l’année prochaine !
